How Extensive is the Outdoor Patio Furniture Collection I Like?
We hear the same stories almost every day. A customer bought a conversation set for their back yard and now they’d like to add a bistro set on their patio. The problem is they can’t find one to match because their conversation set was just that – a conversation set only. It doesn’t have a fully built out collection with all the conceivable pieces you could possibly want now, or later if circumstances change.
Similarly, we have plenty of customers that buy an outdoor dining set, then after their BBQ island is finished, they expect to come back and purchase bar stools. And they do! We like customers to be aware of the extensibility of the set they are considering before they purchase it. Sometimes buyers are in the process of a busy home building process and are thinking current-term only. Life changes happen and you can unexpectedly move to a different house, end up building a pool or not building a pool that was planned, a mother in law can move in, and the stories go on. When spending the money on permanent outdoor patio furniture, it’s nice to know that you have options.
It can be very difficult to try and match furniture that’s not in the same collection. Frame finishes and frame colors vary greatly. Even the sheen on the finish will be noticeably different from one to the next. You also need to consider style. A very ornate, traditional aluminum patio furniture set will have specific curves and patterns not likely to be found elsewhere.
Recycled plastic patio furniture, or composite outdoor patio furniture, is probably the easiest category to add on to at a later time. The two main manufacturers in the United States (Seaside Casual and Polywood) have been around for a long time. Their frame colors tend to be the same for many years, and even mixing the two brands together is easy to do.
